Short answers with links to the deep dives. If your question isn't here, the guides probably cover it.
The model
- What is HappyHorse AI?
- HappyHorse is an AI video generation model built by WeShop AI. It turns text prompts or images into short 1080p clips with native audio — sound effects, ambience, and lip-synced dialogue are generated together with the picture, not added afterward. Start with our basics guide.
- What is the difference between HappyHorse 1.0 and 1.1?
- Version 1.0 is the original release, notable for being open source — its weights are publicly available. Version 1.1 is the current hosted model with sharper motion quality, improved audio sync, and the full seven-language lip-sync feature set.
- How long can HappyHorse videos be?
- Each generation produces a 5 or 8 second clip at up to 1080p. Longer videos are made the way films are made: generate shots, then edit them together. Our settings guide covers when to use each duration.
- What languages does the lip sync support?
- Seven languages as of mid-2026: English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, German, and French. Write the exact line in quotation marks, in the target language, and direct the delivery — the technique is covered in Directing audio and lip sync.
Using it
- Where can I use HappyHorse?
- Three routes: in the browser (HappyHorse online or the official WeShop AI tool), programmatically via partner APIs, or self-hosted from the open 1.0 weights.
- Why do my clips look worse than the demos?
- Almost always prompt structure. The three classic causes: no camera instruction, more than one action in a single clip, and no audio line. The fix is the five-part structure taught in the prompt guide — or start from a known-good prompt and change one variable at a time.
- Can HappyHorse animate my product photos?
- Yes — it's arguably the model's strongest suit. Feed a product photo, anchor it with "stays perfectly still and sharp", and animate the world around it. See the image-to-video guide and the product prompt patterns.
- Can I use HappyHorse videos commercially?
- Generally yes — but rights come from the platform you generate through, so check its terms (free tiers sometimes carry restrictions). If you self-host the open weights, the model license governs. For client work, keep a record of which platform and plan produced each deliverable.
Cost and comparisons
- Is HappyHorse free?
- Two answers: the 1.0 model is open source — free if you bring your own GPU. Hosted platforms typically offer trial credits, then charge per generation. For most people the hosted route is far cheaper than the hardware.
- Is HappyHorse better than Seedance?
- Neither dominates — HappyHorse leads on audio, lip sync, and product fidelity; Seedance on complex motion and multi-shot storytelling. We keep a full per-use-case verdict in HappyHorse vs Seedance.
- How does it compare to Veo 3?
- Veo 3 holds the higher quality ceiling; HappyHorse wins the volume game on cost, languages, and product work. The full breakdown is in HappyHorse vs Veo 3.
This site
- Is happyhorse.training the official HappyHorse site?
- No. We're an independent learning resource — not affiliated with or endorsed by WeShop AI. The official model page is on weshop.ai. We keep this site current because we use the model daily.
- Are the prompts free to use?
- Yes — every prompt in the library is free to copy, adapt, and ship, commercial work included. If one makes you something great, we'd love to hear about it.
